GLENDALE, CA – GUSD Board of Education has scheduled a vote on a contract for the next GUSD Superintendent of Schools. The Board is expected to take action on affirming Dr. Vivian Ekchian as the District’s next Superintendent at their upcoming meeting on Tuesday, May 21. Dr. Ekchian currently serves as Deputy Superintendent of the Los Angeles Unified School District. The Blood Drive took place at Glendale Youth Center and was dedicated to the 1.5 million Armenians that lost their lives during the Armenian Genocide. Every year, The ANCA-Glendale in partnership with the American Red Cross and several affiliated community-based organizations organize an annual blood drive to give blood to those in need and to commemorate the 1.5 million lives lost during the Armenian Genocide in 1915. City Council Approves Ordinance Addressing Glendale’s Growing Housing Shortage

Glendale, CA – On February 12, 2019, the Glendale City Council approved amendments to the Just Cause Eviction ordinance to address the growing shortage of and increasing demand for rental housing in the city of Glendale, Glendale City Department of Communications and Community Relations released a statement on February 14, 2019. According to the press release, the amendments take effect on March 14, 2019 and entitle tenants who meet certain requirements the right to a one-year written lease agreement option and relocation benefits.
