Glendale, CA – On February 7th, GUSD Career Technical Education department released a statement saying: “Glendale Unified School District Career Technical  Education (CTE) department in partnership with Glendale Community College is excited to offer FREE college classes at all of our GUSD high schools.  Students in grades 10-12 who are making satisfactory progress towards high school graduation are eligible to apply and enroll in FREE college classes.  ALL tuition fees are waived and students can earn both college and high school credits.  If your student is interested in enrolling in a college class, please contact GCC’s Welcome Center (818) 240-1000 For more information on how to apply and course offerings, see attached Dual Enrollment packet.  More information can also be found on the GCC dual enrollment website: www.glendale.edu/dual or the GUSD CTE website www.gusd.net/cte.”

Glendale, CA – On Tuesday, February 5, 2019, the Glendale City Council confirmed the appointment of Silvio Lanzas to Fire Chief of the Glendale Fire Department. Chief Lanzas has been serving the Glendale community since December 2017 when he joined the department as its Deputy Fire Chief, Communications and Community Relations of the City of Glendale reported yesterday.
