The Armenian National Committee of America – Glendale Chapter is now accepting applicants for the Summer 2017 Internship Program. Set to launch on July 10th, this part-time internship program designed for local high school seniors and college students, will introduce young leaders and student activists to the American political system, Armenian-American issues, and advocacy efforts on a local level.
Each week throughout the seven week program, interns will participate in two workshops led by local public officials, community leaders and specialists. Each workshop will serve to teach and familiarize interns with the different functions of Glendale City Government, and introduce them to grassroots advocacy, community organizing, non-profit management and communications through social and traditional forms of media, as well as project development and execution. Additionally, interns will have an opportunity to spearhead their own projects based on their interests while gaining valuable professional and leadership skills.
All interested candidates are urged to apply by June 30th 2017 on the ANCA Glendale website at www.ancaglendale.org/programs/internship-program/ For more information or if you have any questions please contact the ANCA Glendale Community Outreach Director, Margarita Baghdasaryan at margarita@ancaglendale.org or call (818) 243.3444
