What is your approach to curriculum transparency and parental engagement?
How will you support teacher recruitment and retention?
What steps will you support to expand student mental health and counseling services?
Will you commit to protecting and expanding Armenian language programs where demand exists? Please explain how you would ensure equitable access.
Would you support continued genocide and human rights education programming within GUSD? Please explain.
How will you ensure immigrant and non-English-speaking families remain informed and engaged in district decisions?
What measures will you take to ensure the district reflects and serves Glendale’s diverse student population?
Will you commit to protecting and expanding Armenian language programs within GUSD where there is demonstrated student demand? How will you ensure equitable access across district campuses?
Many Glendale students have direct family ties to Armenia and Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), and recent events have deeply affected members of the local community. Do you believe it is appropriate for GUSD to include age-appropriate educational discussions about contemporary humanitarian crises — including the displacement of Armenians from Artsakh — within broader human rights or global studies curriculum? Please explain how you would approach this topic as a Board Member.
